Venice Golf Cart Repair is an independently operated mobile repair service for golf carts and low-speed vehicles across South Sarasota County: Venice, Wellen Park, North Port, Englewood, Nokomis, and Osprey. We do not have a showroom and we do not want you to trailer anything. The technician comes to your driveway, garage, or cart barn, diagnoses the cart on-site, and fixes it there whenever the parts are on the truck.
What we are
We are experienced, insured local golf cart technicians who work on all major brands: Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution, Bintelli, Kandi, and most others, electric 36V and 48V especially, plus gas carts. The bread and butter is the same list every cart owner eventually faces: dead or dying battery packs, carts that won’t charge, weak brakes, worn tires, a solenoid that clicks without moving anything, and motor or controller faults.
We publish our prices. A full lead-acid pack installed runs $700 to $1,200, lithium conversions $1,600 to $3,500, brake work $75 to $400, tires $75 to $150 each, and the $50 to $100 service call is applied toward the repair when you approve it. Every range is on the pricing page, and every number we quote in your driveway is flat and up-front before work starts.
What we are not
We are not an authorized dealer, service center, or warranty provider for any cart manufacturer. If your Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution is still under factory warranty, the dealer that sold it is the right place for warranty work, and we will tell you that on the phone rather than take the job. We also will not sell parts you do not need. A cart that won’t charge gets a charger and charge-port test before anyone talks about batteries, and a weak cart gets a load test on every battery before we condemn the pack.
Why mobile, and why here
Venice is one of the oldest-skewing cities in Florida: the 2020 Census put the median age at 69.8 with 62.8 percent of residents 65 or older. Englewood’s median age is 66.9, Osprey’s 62.7. Add the more than 85,000 seasonal residents Sarasota County counts each winter, and the master-planned build-out of Wellen Park’s roughly 11,000 acres, and you have tens of thousands of households where the cart is daily transportation to the clubhouse, the pool, the pharmacy, and the pickleball courts. A dead cart here is not a lost afternoon of golf. It is a stranded person. That is the problem this service exists to solve, which is why every visit is mobile and why same-day and next-day windows are the norm.
The climate makes the work different from the Midwest, too. NOAA’s 1991 to 2020 normals for Venice show an average July and August high of 91.5 degrees and roughly 60 percent of the year’s 51 inches of rain falling June through September. Heat evaporates water out of flooded batteries and shortens their life; humidity and salt air off the Gulf, Lemon Bay, and the Intracoastal corrode terminals, charge ports, and brake hardware on carts that just sit. Every visit ends with terminals cleaned and coated and flooded cells watered, because that finish is worth more here than the brand sticker on the battery.
How a visit goes
You describe the symptom by phone or form. We schedule a window. The technician arrives with the likely parts, runs the diagnostic (per-battery load test, pack voltage, charger output, solenoid and controller checks), gives you a flat price, and does the work on the spot when you approve it. Old batteries leave with us for lead-core recycling. Gated communities in Wellen Park, Venetian Golf and River Club, Plantation, Boca Royale, and Heron Creek are routine; we arrange gate access when we book.
